Kevin Kuan is 17 years old and attends St. Andrew’s College. He has been learning piano with Mrs. Aster Lai since 2009. He had won First Place Awards for Grade 9 and Grade 10 at the CCC Toronto Piano Competition. He received his ARCT Piano Performance Diploma with First Class Honour in 2014. He tutors younger students playing piano and ear training in Aster’s Music House on weekends. He will be performing a solo piano piece at Roy Thomson Hall for the school’s annual Christmas Concert in this December. He is the Principal French Horn player in school’s Wind Ensemble and Conference of Independent Schools’ Music Festival in Ontario. He also enjoys playing sports such as curling and badminton, as well as drawing and reading in his spare time.
